Dr. Tao Zhang is Head of the Cognitive Neurophysiology Laboratory. He received his B.S. in biophysics from Nankai University, and Ph.D in biophysics from Institute of Biophysics, CAS. Following postdoctoral training, he was appointed as Project Scientist at University of California, Davis.

Dr. Dai received his B.S. in Physics from Nanjing University, and then he moved on to study Neurophysiology in Institute of Biophysics and got his PhD. Following a few years postdoctoral training at Brown University, he moved back to China and joined Institute of psychology. His interest mainly focuses on exploring neural mechanism underlying visual attention and working memory using novel optogenetic technique.

Dr. Kuang obtained his BS and MS degree in Physics from Wuhan University of Technology in 2008. He then received trainings on system/cognitive neuroscience in the German Primate Center and got his Ph.D. degree in 2013. His research interest centers on understanding the neuronal mechanisms that mediate visual perception and visually guided behavior in humans and nonhuman primates.

Graduated from Institute of Psychology, CAS. His prior work is about the pain perception and its modulation, as well as the modulation of motor function. The major technology he employed was multichannel single-unit recording of neural activity in awake freely-moving rats. The ongoing project is related to neurophysiological mechanisms of self-motion in ventral intraparietal area (VIP) of rhesus monkeys. In addition, he goes in for photography.

Graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology.He has ever been engaged in optical,mechanical,program design and system integration. He received his MA from Institute of Psychology,CAS.
